Stingers, champ in cheer dance competition 2016

College of Arts and Sciences and College of Business and Economics grabbed the championship title in the cheer dance competition during the 46th Intramural Meet of Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) Bayombong Campus with the theme "Paving the Paths towards Internalization of State Universities and Colleges through Sports".

During an interview with Mr. Everson Santos, the trainer/coach, said that the secret behind the triumph of CAS and CBE lies on the perseverance and consistent practice of the individuals as a common quotation states, 'Practice makes perfect'.

The event had four (4) different competing units which were Unit 1-College of Human Ecology and College of Engineering, Unit 2- College of Forestry, College of Agriculture, and College of Veterinary Medicine, Unit 3- College of Teacher Education and Laboratory High School, and Unit 4- College of Arts and Sciences and College of Business and Economics.

Prior to the annual Intramural Meet, Sports Fest was held in different colleges as pre-selection of athletes. Mr. Christopher Gurat and Prof. Bernard Balangatan, the Sports Coordinators, in coordination with the Student Councils conducted CAS-CBE Sports Fest. Some students joined the try-outs. In addition, rigid preparations were made to snatch the victory on Intramural Meet.

Meanwhile, despite the typhoon Lawin that hit Nueva Vizcaya, the NVSU's Intramural Meet pushed through on the scheduled dates, and the said event was successfully held.
