CAS leads flag-raising ceremony despite gloomy weather
Posted by: nathan | Date posted: February 27, 2023The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) defied the inclement weather to lead the flag-raising ceremony today, February 27, 2023, in front of the Administration Building.
Dr. Lori Shayne A. Busa, the Dean of CAS, also presented the college's accomplishment report from the previous school year up to the present.
During the ceremony, the CAS faculty choir led the singing of the national anthem and Vizcaya hymn, which is unique to the college whenever it is the host of the said symbolic activity.
Meanwhile, the academic community extended its greetings to the week's birthday celebrators, and the faculty association presented them with small tokens to mark their special day.
As the activity ended, Dr. Cristina R. Salvoza, the Vice President for Administration and Finance, commended the CAS for its achievements and acknowledged its efforts in leading the symbolic activity. She also encouraged the NVSU family to maintain a positive attitude and to work collaboratively in achieving the university's goals.
