
CAS NatSci Dep’t Bio Celeb kicks off, exhibits studies
Posted by: admin | Date posted: April 30, 2024The College of Arts and Sciences Natural Sciences Department highlighted the 2019-2024 accomplishments of its Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology program during its Biology Celebration that started today, April 29, 2024, at the Bayombong Campus with the theme, "Evolving from the Challenges of the Past toward Greater Heights of Scientific Quest."
The department opened the two-day celebration through a seminar that featured the recent trends and issues in biological research at the Dumlao Farmers’ Training Center (DFTC), NVSU Bayombong.
Dr. Vernadyn Almeda Morillo shared the findings of her dissertation titled, "Dynamics of sperm-oviduct interaction that regulates maternal immune response in cattle."" Following this presentation, the senior BS Biology students also showcased their completed theses.
The said activity was participated by Natural Sciences Department faculty members, Biology students, Science and Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and Humanities and Social Science Strand (HUMSS) students from the Nueva Vizcaya General Comprehensive High School (NVGCHS).
This gathering aims to elevate students' active engagement in meaningful scientific endeavors such as sharing of projects and outputs in the field of biology.
