
CASSC seizes spotlight in SO Night
Posted by: sysadmin | Date posted: July 21, 2017A helm of victory was rounded to the College of Arts and Sciences Student Council as the organization snatched numerous awards during the Student Organizations Leadership Awards Night held on May 19, 2017 at Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) Gymnasium.
CASSC reaped the following awards: Best Student Organization of the Year (Champion), Best in Bidbook (Champion), Best in Financial Management (Champion), Best in Project (Champion), Best in Cultural Promotion Activity (Champion), and Best in Updated Bulletin (3rd Place). Aside from the various awards earned by the group, three (3) CAS student leaders were also included in the Top Nine (9) Student Leaders of the year; Racquel P. CASSC Cinco, Mathematics Club Mayor, Errol L. Lazo, CASSC Vice-Governor, and Edison Lopez, CASSC Governor.
During an interview with the CASSC Adviser, Mr. Jay Roy Velasco stressed that the officers of the organization worked rigidly in preparing the documents needed by the deliberation or screening team of the said event. “Their hard work paid-off because they almost bagged all the awards during the event. I am so proud of the achievements earned by the officers, and hopefully it will be continued by the newly set of the officers for AY 2017-2018.”
Meanwhile, the said event was sponsored by Northern Campus Supreme Student Council, and participated in by all student organizations of the university. Ms. Kazzy C. Laguzman graced the affair, and explained the theme “Weaving the Strands of Excellence and Peace for Service”.
