Comm-Arts Day 2023 Exhibits GE Students' Artistry, Communicative Skills
Posted by: nathan | Date posted: November 28, 2023Over 2,000 students enrolled in various General Education (GE) subjects, including Communication, Arts, Foreign Languages, Philippine Literature, and Business Communication, assembled for the second Communication and Arts Day at the University Gymnatorium on November 28, 2023, with the theme, "Gaining Excellence in Comm-Arts toward Productive Education Outcomes."
Participating learners paraded their talents and skills in the creative fashion show, speech choir, Korean chanting, spoken word poetry, identifying-errors test, and spelling bee. A Korean group song was also performed by selected students taking Foreign Language. Meanwhile, the Arts and Languages Department faculty members served as facilitators.
CAS Dean Dr. Lori Shayne A. Busa graced the event to give an inspirational message, underscoring the essence of learning activities to excel in arts and communication. Dr. Busa also appreciated the host department for its initiative and efforts. Meanwhile, Department Chair Fermila D. Cauilan welcomed everyone to the event and briefly explained how the celebration began last year.
Comm, Arts Day is a semestral culminating gathering of usually first-year students enrolled in GE subjects to exemplify their artistic and communicative abilities beyond regular classes. It is an Arts and Languages Department initiative under the College of Arts and Sciences.
