Faculty Researchers of NVSU CAS Showcase Studies at Research Congress

Faculty researchers from Nueva Vizcaya State University's (NVSU) College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) recently showcased their research studies at the Faculty Research Congress organized by the Philippine Consortium for Science, Mathematics and Technology (PCSMT), Inc. on April 19-21, 2023, at the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College-Main Campus in Candon City, Ilocos Sur.

NVSU CAS was represented by four faculty researchers who specialize in Mathematics and General Science: Jay Roy D. Velasco, Jr., Jeffrey T. Mendoza, Joseph E. Valdez,  and Ruchi Briam James S. Lagitnay.

The studies presented by NVSU CAS mentors covered a broad range of topics, including the predictors associated with COVID-19 in Nueva Vizcaya and the effectiveness of a problem-based learning approach in enhancing problem-solving skills in chemistry for high school students.

The congress this year is themed "Advancing the Frontiers of Math, Science, and Technology through Interdisciplinary Research." Its goal is to showcase the research capabilities of different academic institutions in the country and encourage collaborative research among them. The attendees, consisting of researchers and faculty members, also emphasized the importance of research in promoting technology and innovation in the country.
