NVSU to Get AACCUP's nod for BS Computer Science Program

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) program under the College of Arts and Sciences of the Nueva Vizcaya State University is currently undergoing Level IV Phase II Revisit accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) from May 29–31 via Zoom platform.

The rigorous assessment covers all key areas of the BS Computer Science program, including research, graduate performance, international linkages, community service, and planning processes.

The BSCS accreditation task force attended the opening program before engaging in discussions with the accreditors at Room ITE202. The accreditor provided a checklist that must be complied with on the second day of the accreditation process, followed by interviews with the area chairs assigned to each surveyed area.

Meanwhile, President Wilfredo A. Dumale, Jr., who graced the event, highlighted the university's continuous efforts in solidifying international linkages and digitalization through the contributions of the BSCS program. Also, OIC College Dean Fermila D. Cauilan and college faculty members attended the significant event, underscoring the university's commitment to achieving successful accreditation outcomes.

Accreditation plays a vital role in validating the quality and standards of academic programs. Nueva Vizcaya State University's Level IV Phase II Revisit accreditation for the BS Computer Science program reflects the collaborative efforts of all the program chairs, coordinators, and faculty members and the institution's dedication to providing high-quality education in the field.
