College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) as a strong and vibrant service and degree-offering college, the first among equals, in a premier university. Contributory to the Mission of the Nueva Vizcaya State University and in line with its vision of a strong and vibrant college, the College of Arts and Sciences shall provide general education courses to all students from the other colleges of the University, and to serve the special needs of other colleges for major courses in the disciplines of the Arts and Sciences. It shall also offer relevant degree courses that stand to benefit the community in particular and the global community in general.The College of Arts and Sciences is geared towards the preparation of students for responsible, creative and useful membership and leadership in the society through innovative designed to stimulate and develop creative, analytical and critical thinking, effective communication and sound judgment, without sacrificing aesthetic, ethical and cultural values.

A helm of victory was rounded to the College of Arts and Sciences Student Council as the organization snatched numerous awards during the Student Organizations Leadership Awards Night held on May 19, 2017 at Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) Gymnasium.
CASSC reaped the following awards: Best Student Organization of the Year (Champion), Best in Bidbook (Champion), Best in Financial Management (Champion), Best in Project (Champion), Best in Cultural Promotion Activity (Champion), and Best in Updated Bulletin (3rd Place). Ika-36 Anibersaryo ng CAS ginunita





Sinalubong ng palakpakan at hiyawan ang pagdiriwang ng ika-36 na anibersaryo ng kolehiyo noong Setyembre 29, 2015 sa University gymnasium. Tampok ang natatanging pagtatanghal ng mga guro mula sa limang departamento sa isang variety show-contest. Sa gabay ng temang "Radiating the fervor of excellence," nagwagi ang faculty ng Social Sciences and Humanities na sinundan ng grupo ng Languages. Pumangatlo naman ang faculty ng CS-IT.

Stingers, Third Runner Up sa 41st Intramurals




Hinirang na Third Runner Up ang koponang Stingers sa ginanap na 41st Intramural Meet sa Unibersidad noong Setyembre 16-18, 2015. Bagama’t huli sa pangkalahatang ranking sa kabuuang puntos na 403, ang pinagsanib na pwersa ng Kolehiyo ng Agham at Sining at Kolehiyo ng Pangangalakal at Ekonomiya ay namayani naman sa apat na larangan.

MST Math clinches Level II Accreditation





The Master of Science in Teaching (MST) Math program of the NVSU-Bayombong advanced to level II accreditation as it received a very satisfactory rating of 3.63% above the required mean during the visit of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. on August 11-13, 2015.

CU staff attend press confab





Seven staff of CAS Update (CU) joined the 107 participants in the 2015 NVSU Invitational Press Conference at the University Library Complex on November 30, 2015.
Themed "Reinforcing Valor and Integrity in Campus Journalism," the event gathered young campus journalists from the region in a forum with renowned media practitioners. CU Associate Editor Alfred Baybayan said his interest never waned throughout the interactive discussions. “We enjoyed the lectures because the speakers were skillful and open minded,” he explained.
